Human Rights Policy
Our Approach to Human Rights
Pagmat’s Human Rights Policy outlines our commitment and approach to human and labor rights, as well as, ethical working conditions in our activities and relationships with our stakeholders.
Pagmat respect the human rights in all means in its premises and in its environment. Pagmat respect and support the dignity, welfare, and human rights of its employees, of employees within its supply chain, and of individuals in local communities that are affected by its operations.

Human Rights Principles
Ethical Working Policy
Pagmat has always adopted the principle of being a responsible food producer that complies with all requirements of Ethical-Trade and Turkish laws since its establishment. With this principle, suitable working conditions have been established for all employees involved in the production stages of our products as follows:
- Pagmat commits to complying with all requirements of Turkish laws to create a healthy and safe working system, environment, and equipment for its employees involved in the production and provides them with all necessary information, training, and support. The Board Member responsible for the operations oversees all these activities.
- Pagmat employees must never be subjected to physical, mental, moral, or verbal harassment or threats. Pagmat never tolerates such harassment or threats.
- Pagmat employees must never be subjected to discrimination based on race, class, nationality, marital status, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, political opinion, or membership in a union/association, along with their position, promotion, education level, seniority, and other rights.
- Pagmat never employs or supports child labor.
- Pagmat never allows forced labor, modern slavery, human trafficking, or any form of human exploitation. It neither permits nor supports human rights violations within its organization or supply chain and supports the improvement of conditions.
- Pagmat provides training to its employees on basic food production activities and other related matters and supports their self-improvement within the Pagmat culture.
- All employees are informed, through contracts signed by both parties, about working conditions and hours, overtime and remuneration, and disciplinary rules at the beginning of their employment. Additionally, all newcomers receive the Pagmat Personnel Handbook, which includes basic food processing and health and safety rules, as part of their orientation training.
- Pagmat meets minimum labor criteria for newcomers, including minimum wage, insurance, legal working hours and overtime, lunch, workplace physician, and transportation services. Special emphasis is placed on religious holidays and prayer times, and extra food assistance is provided during the Ramadan month.
- If production/working conditions are suitable, Pagmat also provides employment opportunities for disabled candidates and offers them the same living standards as others.
- All the conditions mentioned above are expected to be adopted by the suppliers and subcontractors Pagmat collaborates with.
- Pagmat does not allow and does not support any employee to receive or give bribes in any form in all its production and commercial activities, both within and outside the company.
- Pagmat does not condone and does not allow any corruption committed by any employee/employees within the company or in official transactions in all its production and commercial activities.
